Yesterday the roommates and I did some shopping on Crowne Street. After we got some more supplies, we all headed to the beach. It was probably around 85 degrees yesterday. Thankfully the beach was windy so it didn't feel so hot. I went in the water for the first time. It is slightly chilly but not too bad. The water was very powerful, and two separate times I felt like I was going to be pulled into the water. It was very scary how powerful the current was. At one point I ended up on all fours trying to prevent myself from getting pulled in. After the swimming scared Kelly, Amy and I took a nice walk down the beach. We then laid out for awhile before we returned back to the penthouse.
Unfortunately, I got burned even though I made sure to heavily apply sunscreen. I guess the sun is just that strong. For dinner, we made stir-fry with brown rice, chicken, snow peas, carrots, corn, and teriaki sauce. It was surprisingly delicious.
At night we headed back to Hotel Illawara to do some dancing. The music was much more current than the night before. We danced into the night, having a great time!
