Monday nights Desperate Housewives plays on tv in Australia at 8:30. Amy and I had seen a sign outside the club that we have been going to (Hotel Illawara) advertising wearing heals to the bar and getting 10% off on drinks for every inch of heel that you are wearing. Desperate Housewives is one of my favorite shows and we only have about 6 channels on our tv in our apartment so I am sure we wouldn't get the show. So Amy, Kelly and I went to the club to check it out. We ended up being the only ones there, but it was really fun because we were able to make friends with the bartender (Matt). He was really friendly and was shocked that we were Americans because polite and not loud and obnoxious as many Australians view Americans. He asked me what I wanted to drink, and I told him I wasn't sure, but that I liked anything that is sweet. So he made Kelly and me a really good mix drink, that had a good amount of alcohol in it but I couldn't even taste it. It was delicious! Unfortunately, it was a drink he just made up on the spot so I would be unable to order it again unless I am able to find him.
Thanks to Amy wearing high heels that measured in at 5inches, we got 50% off of our cocktails! This brought a drink that would normally be $13 to only $6.50....what a steal! It was a great night, and we definitely plan on making it a Monday night tradition!
